We woke up last week and heard the strangest sound off in the distance... that was a strange dog. As we slowly awoke, the soft sound continued and we realized what it was- sea lions! We jumped out of bed and grabbed the kids to check it out. Things may be closed down in town, but nature is alive and kicking!
We stood outside watching these guys for a while, I think in the end we decided that there were at least seven of them sunbathing, circling around each other, and playing.
There isn't a day that I don't pinch myself for how fortunate we are to live on this amazing island, and particularly in this magical place with water on both sides!
